Who is behind the Bazaar ?
​
Swiss born - Matik Tattoo - passionate artist and explorer, he expresses himself through tattooing, film photography, and the creation of clothing and accessories.
​
He fell in love with Asian culture during his first travels to Myanmar in 2016 and attaches great importance to local, tribal art and handcrafts.
Over time, he became a collector and humble connoisseur of Indian and Himalayan objects, as well as vintage T-shirts, with a penchant for paintings, masks, ancestral tattoo materials and fantasy designs.

Why this shop ?

Kitam Bazaar was born out of a desire to share the passion for art and crafts.
To highlight the craft trades that require precision and patience and to combine them
with current drawings by recognized artists.
The brand was set up in April 2018 during a trip to Asia. Matik met Rashid - the master of embroidery - working on Himalayan T-Shirt designs in his little shop in Kathmandu.

At this moment the idea of mixing tattoo design and classic embroidery was born.
Right after the project started.

Who are our friends suppliers ?
We work with some small family businesses in Nepal and India for T-shirts, bags and hats.
​
The people who work for these companies are friends and ensure a healthy working environment and a commensurate salary for their work.
​
All our products are made by human hands and are full of love and energy.
In the process of creation we always try to respect mother nature as much as possible.
